About me
Tara Edwards
M.Ed, LPC Associate
Supervised By Lori Shaw, LPC-S
I believe we all have the capacity to heal—but sometimes, we need support, the right tools, or simply the space to begin. As a therapist, I’m here to walk alongside you through the process of discovery, healing, and growth. I work with older teens, adults, and parents, and I’m passionate about creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in compassion. Together, we’ll explore patterns, behaviors, and thought processes that may no longer serve you. My goal is to help you build self-awareness and self-compassion—so you can feel more rooted, resilient, and ready to move forward.
With a background in education, I’ve seen how struggles within the family system can impact not only children’s academic success but also their emotional well-being. I believe that healing often begins at home, and I’m especially drawn to working with individuals navigating relationship challenges, parenting stress, and life transitions.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m with my family—my husband and our three daughters. I love to travel, explore new restaurants, and stay active whenever I can.
I feel incredibly honored to do this work and support you in whatever season of life you’re in. By being here, you’ve already taken the first step toward change—and that matters. If you’re ready to start this journey, I’m here to help guide the way.

SESSIONS

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Individual counseling offers a safe space to explore your thoughts and work through life’s stressors—whether they're part of your daily routine, current challenges, or past experiences. Together, we'll focus on developing healthy coping strategies, reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, setting boundaries, and building self-worth.
Therapy is an opportunity for growth—a place to feel empowered, understood, and supported. Through this process, you'll gain deeper self-awareness and build resilience to face future challenges with confidence.
My role is to support you without judgment, offer fresh perspectives, and cheer you on every step of the way. This is your space to feel seen, heard, and validated—while also being gently challenged toward meaningful transformation.

Couples & Parenting Sessions
Couple and parenting sessions can be especially helpful if you are dealing with frequent disagreements, different parenting styles, struggles in a blended family or with calls from teachers about your child’s behavior. Therapy can help you find clarity and we can work through these challenges together.
Together, we will work to restore balance, improve relationships, and implement practical strategies that truly make a difference at home.
